Ms. Armita Hosseini is a registered psychotherapist working under the supervision of Dr. Sarah Talebizadeh while completing her registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She has a Master’s of Education in Counseling Psychology and a Master of Arts in Clinical-Developmental Psychology.
She has experience in non-profit organizations and private practice settings in assessment and treatment with children, youth, and adults. Her multidisciplinary training has enabled her to pay particular attention to developmental and attachment history of clients while considering their unique strengths, needs, and challenges.
Ms. Hosseini is also trained in Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and is able to work with clients who require more short term counselling needs, as well as utilizing CBT for individuals struggling with mood, ADHD, social difficulties, anxiety, stress and relationships difficulties. She is experienced in the administration of psychological and psycho-vocational assessments, in particular Learning and Developmental Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and Motor Vehicle Accident and Workplace Safety Insurance Board related concerns. In addition to providing psychological services in English and Farsi, Ms. Hosseini has pursued her interest in mental health policy development, and the development and prevention of violence against women and children through various community fundraising enterprises.
